Dear St. John's Parishioner,

The 2009 Annual Congregational Meeting will be held after the 9:00 AM Worship Service on Sunday, August 16th. The Agenda for the meeting and Minutes for the Special Meetings of May 17th, 2009 and October 12th, 2008, as well as the Minutes from last year's Annual Meeting of August 17th 2008 are now available from the "Congregational Meeting" page of our web site. As always, Congregational Meetings are a very important part of our St. John's Community. We hope to see you on Sunday.

Web Site Updates

We have added a new feature, a "Google Local Search Box" at the very bottom of our home page. This search is unique, in that it applies the search words you enter for our web site only, not the entire web.  Using this search box or the "St. Johns Index" page of our web site, you should be able to locate any particular page of our web site quickly and easily.

Thought of the Day

Symbols Of Quality

The emu, a large bird, and a kangaroo are pictured on Australia's coat of arms. They were chosen because neither one can move backward.

An emu has three toes. If it tries to retreat, it will fall. The Kangaroo can't withdraw because of its long tail. These two creatures symbolize the spirit of moving forward that represents the country of Australia.

Jesus said "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62)." The emu and kangaroo can be reminders to us that God needs people who are moving forward and growing.
