Dear St. John's
Parishioner,
Thanks to Pastor
John, we have just posted to
our web site
over 150 photos and approximately 50 video clips of the
recently concluded 2009 ELCA National
Youth Gathering in New Orleans. Over 37,000 young
Lutherans attended the event. St. John's was well
represented by Allison Altman, Devan Brady, Nick Doucette,
Ryan McMahon, Brittany Moore, Nick Woodard, Ryan Woodard and
Tyler Wrobel. Also attending were Pastor John, Diane
McMahon, Jason Yelder and Tim Then who served as a National
Youth Gathering volunteer. The photos and video clips
tell a great day-by-day story of their entire trip from
beginning to end. You are sure to enjoy
them. | |

Thought of the
Day
Appreciation
Stop and think how expressing your gratitude will
positively affect someone. Good moods are contagious and
often caused by simple appreciation.
We should all be spreading appreciation wherever it is
deserved and not covering our mouths when we feel a thank
you coming on.
Learn to honor what you've come to expect; take care to
express your gratitude for common tasks. There is a
challenge in having to do everyday things every day. Even if
it feels like someone is just doing their job, chances are
their work made your life easier.
When you better appreciate your relationships, your
relationships appreciate too.
- Nick
