Deacon Ministry
 

MISSION: To assist the ministry of the congregation through pastoral visitation, worship leadership, preaching and teaching..

HOW IS THIS DONE?
 Deacons of St. John's lead worship once a month at the Saturday service and occasionally preach on Sundays.
 Some are trained to lead worship and do so regularly as assisting ministers.
 Some deacons provide pastoral visitation to homebound members and some visit members who are hospitalized.

MEETINGS: Deacons meet on a quarterly basis for networking with Pastor John and sharing insights and challenges for the ministry of the congregation.
