               to members of St. John's, visitors and the community.

HOW IS THIS DONE?
 Discovery Classes for new and existing members
                Provide dinner, new member sponsors,
                integration of new members into active
                congregational life.

               
 "News From the Pews"
                 Bulletin board updated frequently picturing
                 noteworthy events in the life of our members
                 such as baptisms, weddings, confirmation,
                 congregational activities and members
                 highlighted in the news.

 Caring for Others
                 Providing and displaying an assortment of "Care

                 Notes" and reaching out to members when

                 attendance patterns change.

               
 Lenten Devotional
                 An annual, cooperative effort among St. John's

                 and other area churches featuring a provocative

                 theme and volunteer writers and talented

                 illustrators.

 Education
                 Committee members provide a leadership role in

                 Adult Forum scheduling and Intergenerational

                 Events.
