MISSION

  i.    To help improve the discipleship of youth

 ii.    To integrate youth representation into all ministries at St. Johns

iii.    To encourage Christian growth in the promises of baptism

HOW IS THIS DONE

  i.    In the youth group there are five youth officer positions including President, Treasurer, Social Chair, Service and Publicity.

 ii.    The Youth Advisory Committee plans and assists in identifying the needs and wants of the youth at St. Johns and also to identify the needs of the youth in our community and create means to better service those needs.

iii.    Youth ministry promotes travel to ELCA youth gatherings and has sent representatives to work on disaster relief in new Orleans.

iv.    Programs and activities include discussion groups, bible study, service projects, fund raising events and fellowship.

MEETINGS

The youth officers meet every first Sunday of the month at 12:30 pm. The Youth  Advisory Crommittee meets every fist Tuesday of month at 7:00 p.m.
