“’I’m sorry sir, you’re overdrawn.’
‘What do you mean? I have plenty in that account. I want to see my statement.’
‘Certainly! We can review it together if you wish. Let’s see, I show that you spent: 8 1/2 hours sleeping; 2 hours eating breakfast with the morning show, showering, flossing, and grooming that new hairstyle; 8 hours working at the office; 1 hour in your office on the phone with a friend; 1 hour at lunch in the fast food drive-thru line; 1/2 hour standing in line at the bank; 1/2 hour on the phone trying to buy hockey tickets; 1 hour in traffic; 1 hour at the grocery store; 1 1/2 hours preparing and eating dinner, loading the dishwasher, and walking the dog and 1 1/2 hours watching television.
Sir, you are overdrawn by 2 1/2 hours. I’m afraid you have accrued a penalty. You will have to start tomorrow with
only 21 1/2 hours.’

I relate to this man. I can fritter away the hours of my life as easily as a child blows his allowance at a candy store, and often with less reflection. At the end of the day I realize that my time allotment has been used up, even though I haven’t finished checking off all the items on
my ‘to do’ list ….

When it comes to looking for a role model who successfully prioritized his life and later realized his goals, none compare to Jesus Christ. His short, three-year ministry exemplified a focused mind undistracted by culture or crisis.”
----------
I may have used this before, but I too can relate. And as we come to the busy-ness of the holidays, it is good to remember to use our time wisely.

Something to ponder today.
Peace and blessings this day.
Pastor V.

Burrito Project

Our next Burrito meal will be on Tuesday November 29th.  Anyone interested in helping out with the food preparation or the distribution is welcome to join us.  We would love to have more people participating.  For more information call Jay Delaney at 716 997-0738.

This time, our visit will be more significant than most.  With the cold weather coming on, the homeless are in need of ways of staying warm.  In addition to the personal care items that we have been providing, we will be providing warm hats, gloves, hand warmers, blankets and anything else that will protect them from the elements.  If you can bring in these kinds of items, it will help keep them safe.  There will be a box in the foyer to receive your contribution.

Thank you !

Office Closed

Just a reminder that the office will be closed on Thanksgiving and Friday November 25th

October YTD Financials

Dear friends in Christ.

The Total tithes and offerings in 2021 were $63,939 compared to $54,679 total in 2022
Total income all combined in 2021 was $101,688 compared to $98,522 in 2022
The Building fund revenue is down from $28,177 in 2021 to $21,905 in 2022
On the expense side, in 2021 total expenses were $110,265 compared to $91,189 in 2022

While we continue to watch out for your money it’s getting extremely hard to keep up. We are all feeling the pinch of increase cost and the church is not excluded from that.
We are striving to eliminate the mortgage debt in four years and by doing so will save $216,000.

We ask you to please keep up your tithing to the church. If you are currently not giving regularly, we ask you to please prayerfully consider doing so. The church has online giving through Tithley that makes regular giving easy in whatever amount you can afford.

Respectfully,
Rick Lipka
Council President
