St. John's News!

St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church
Easter Sunday- 3/31/2024

Welcome

We are happy to announce that Miss Megan Marrano will be
joining our church staff as a part-time Youth Ministry Director.
St. John’s has always had a male and female directors position.
Until now Devon was just heading up the youth director position.
Megan will now join Devon Asmus in this role. Megan has been in
our congregation for a long time. You might know Megan through
her leadership with Vacation Bible School, the Christmas Pageant
or through her teachers position in Sunday Church School.

We look forward to Devon and Megan growing our children's
ministry while working closely with Pastor Valerie.

Devotion

Devotion

From “The Everlasting Mercy”
John Masefield

O Christ who holds the open gate,
O Christ who drives the furrow straight,
O Christ, the plough, O Christ, the laughter
Of holy white birds flying after,
Lo, all my heart’s field red and torn,
And Thou wilt bring the young green corn
The young green corn divinely springing,
The young green corn forever singing;
And when the field is fresh and fair
Thy blessèd feet shall glitter there,
And we will walk the weeded field,
And tell the golden harvest’s yield,
The corn that makes the holy bread
By which the soul of man is fed,
The holy bread, the food unpriced,
Thy everlasting mercy, Christ.

Hold the Date!

We have made arrangements with Remember Church Directories to have new pictures taken for our members on July 24-27 here at the church.  They will be taking sign-ups between 2-8:30 p.m. during the week and 10-4:30 pm on Saturday.  The new book will be 8-1/2" x 11".

To be included in the directory and receive a free 2024 directory, you MUST have your picture taken and sit through a viewing session of your taken pictures.  Please check your calendars and see what timing would work for you as sign-ups will begin the end of April.
