This Bible verse; reflects on the strength that is ours through faith in the Lord. As Christians, faith, through Christ Jesus can give us new strength. These past two years have been stressful with the pandemic and the divisiveness in our country that can overwhelm the strongest of people; fears that gnaw at the stoutest of human hearts. We feel like there is no end in sight, all because we rely on our own, inner strength and human resources, which are insufficient shields in the storms of life.
Only His protective hand through His Son Jesus Christ can shelter us from the storms of life and not our own limited, human abilities. It is faith in His Word through Jesus that is needed to soar on wings like eagles. The Lord our God is faithful and true to His Word and He satisfies our years with good things so that our youth is renewed like that of an eagle. It is the strength of the Lord Jesus who sustains those who do not rely upon their own abilities. He will provide strength to those who can admit to their own weakness...for His grace is sufficient in all situations of life.
When we truly identify with our Savior and trust in His capacities alone for our journey through life, it is then that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. It is then that the wind of God will lift us up on eagles’ wings and carry us through life’s stresses and strains, through the
power of His Holy Spirit.
Loving Father I know that my strength can
only be found with Faith in Christ Jesus. Help me I
pray, to trust in the power that I can only receive
from my Lord, Christ Jesus. I pray that I may truly
rise above all the difficulties of life and run with
patient endurance the race that is set before me,
looking to Jesus, my only source of strength and my
only means of refreshment.
